WHO WE ARE

Bob Beyer, General Manager, spent 25 award-winning years in US Marine Corps broadcasting, before retiring to serve God in Christian radio in Northeast Louisiana. He lives in Calhoun with Faye, the wife he has loved for 25 years and counting. He fellowships and serves at First Baptist Church - Calhoun. The testimonies in his life have brought him to the place where he wants to live a life loving God and loving His people (and maybe play a game of spades or pinochle once in a while). Phillip Brooks, Program Director, "Sonrise at the Cross" Co-host
, was born and raised here in Ouachita Parish. He graduated from West Monroe High School and attended what is now ULM, graduating with a degree in Radio and Television Management. He is married to Amy, who is the Principal at Claiborne Christian School. He is blessed with four girls…Melissa, who lives in Dallas, Texas and the three red heads, Lauryn, Ashlyn, and Anna Grace. Rob Tucker, Director - Creative Services, hails from Boston, Massachusetts and now makes his home in Rocky Branch with his wife, Ora, and their 3 children, Gannon, Aiden and Emerson. He handles the audio production, events and promotions at The Cross, and is actively involved in the creative team at Life Church in West Monroe. Leslie Lamb, "Sonrise at the Cross" Co-host, grew up in Korea as the youngest daughter of missionaries, Braxton and Connie Humphries. She came back to the States to go to college at what is now ULM and studied English and Speech Communications. She lives in Monroe, Louisiana with her wonderful husband and their two precious daughters! Her passion in life can be rolled into one name above all names, Jesus Christ! Tammi Arender, Mid-day Announcer, has had a “star-studded” career in both television and radio, having garnered national fame as a reporter for shows like Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, and the Shop At Home Network. She’s also been a News Anchor in Nashville, Tennessee, Little Rock, Arkansas, and in Baton Rouge and Monroe here in Louisiana. And, though Tammi’s been in the TV and radio business for more than 2 decades, she’s expanded her career into the movie business, landing acting roles in films like “Dukes of Hazzard”, “Enemies Among Us”, and “Flag of My Father,” just to name a few. Tammi returns to her roots as 88-7FM’s Mid-day host, and we couldn’t be happier to have her back! Tammi and her husband, Craig, make their church home at Healing Place in Baton Rouge. Jay Curtis, Promotions/Research, lives in West Monroe with his incredible wife Karla and 2 kids, and loves being a part of a ministry that reaches people and serves our community. With a background in video production, Jay works with video and youth at Family Church, remains active in sports TV production, and still occasionally teaches juggling. Ernie Sandidge, Station Engineer, was born July 28, 1930.  Ernie was raised on a farm, graduated form Enterprise High School, worked offshore for 12 years in communications adata, studied communications and electronics with Cleveland Institute of Electronics, graduated from CSI in 1961, and received his FCC license in 1954. He operated a communications service center with his brother, Jerry, from 1963 until 1992 and then worked as a contract engineer for many local radio stations from 1965 to present. Ernie is a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, is married to Laverne, has 3 children, 2 step-children, 6 grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

Tim Coats, Webmaster/Moderator, has been here since the beginning of The Cross and - starting in early 2000 - became the webmaster and local Christian happenings guru for 887FM. "TC" has been a student pastor for years and is currently the college pastor at Life Church West Monroe. He and his wife, Penny, make their home in West Monroe. Dr. Joneal Kirby, Family 411, is the blessed wife of 30+ years to Randy and the mother of 3+1: two sons, one “daughter-in-love” and a daughter who live and work in Nashville, Kansas City, and Dallas. Her funniest times are spent with them. She also loves her sweet black lab, Maggie and her two palomino quarter horses. She is the women’s ministry leader at White’s Ferry Road Church of Christ in West Monroe, LA. Jenny Remsburg, Staff Devotion Planner/Promotions, was born in Eugene, OR, the 5th of 7 kids to Marv and Marj Steffins. After several moves, the Steffins family landed in Monroe, La where Jenny graduated from OCS. After graduating from ACU, Jenny pursued a singing career with her sisters, "The Steffin Sisters" releasing 9 projects and enjoying most of their work in Europe. She is very blessed to be the mother of 4+1 : Victoria (21) & Jonathan Worley (ULM), Benton (16), Olivia (14) & Nathaniel (12), Jenny has just crossed the finish line of homeschooling for 13 years and is excited to see God's Plan play out!!
